oh mists rolling in from the sea,
my desire is always to be here,
oh --- -- -------
Do you know where we are yet.
Here’s some more clues
We can see the coast of Ireland 12 miles away.
It’s on pages 74 and 75 of our road atlas.
There’s no pipe and drum band marching on the beach.
Yes you’ve guessed it we’re at the Mull of Kintyre, however if it wasn’t for Sir Paul and his wings we would never have known the place existed.
We see the spot (cast in a rock) where apparently St Columba first set foot on mainland Scotland – although I find it hard to believe he wore doc martins.
A drive around the peninsula of Kintyre (which looks extremely phallic when you see it on a map) takes in views of the islands of Islay, Gigha, Cara, Sanda, Sheep, Ailsa Craig, Davarr and Arran.

We stop mid afternoon just outside the hamlet of Grogport with a view of the Isle of Arran across the Kilbrannan Sound and decide to stay put for the night.

Ere, I reversed out of our drive today only for a jar of pasta sauce to leap to its death and explode on the floor, seats, walls, floor etc, took over an hour to clean up the mess.
Every single one of your pictures looks so picture postcardy, it's gorgeous. The skies seem to be getting cloudier though! Off in our van today picking up Rosemary, my dad and Madeleine for epic trip round Bristol destination park! What a hoot! Miss you both x
Cheers Chris,
Hope alls well at S.C.
