Jo’s birthday

Another beautiful blue sky day and a bit warmer today (I could certainly get used to this). A short drive takes us into THE place to be seen on the Cote d’Azur, St-Tropez, well during summer it probably is, there are still a few dinghy’s moored in the harbour.
and we go for a stroll to take in the sights, after lunch we head out of town to the newly built resort town of Port-Grimaud,

modelled on Venice it is a pleasing little village where every house seems to have its own waterfront access. A little further round the coast and we arrive in the next conurbation Ste-Maxime

where we park up and go off in search of a restaurant for the night, having a short list of 11 we enquire about the possibility of staying in the port car park overnight which we are told is forbidden. Oh well we’ll have to go and slum it in St-Tropez,

so back round the bay and park up for the night in the port car park along with about 18 other motorhomes. After a wander around town we settle for a meal in the famous “Le Cafe” in the town square which is packed full to bursting – always a good sign, after a mediocre meal with below average service and a high class price tag we return to our home for the night.
