Into Slovakia

A relaxing start to the day and a short drive to the city of Gyor with its medieval city square,

 church

and streets.

A quick dash north and we cross the border into Slovakia

We just had to visit the capital Bratislava while we were in the area and it was well worth the detour, it has all been restored and some of the buildings are impressive.

There are a number of bronze statues situated throughout the old town.

We finally get to see the Danube.

It is interesting to see the contrast between the old communist city

and new Bratislava

We stop for the night in a campsite 20km east of the capital and wonder why every campsite seems to be situated within earshot of either a railway line or church bells.
