3 countries in 30 minutes

Leaving our idyllic little wildcamp spot we make our way toward the Slovenian / Hungarian border, although our satnav (bless her) had different plans for us, we were avoiding toll roads and motorways on our tootle through Eastern Europe so she quite rightly guided us to our destination avoiding these, in her electronically mapped world this involved a detour through Croatia. So here’s a couple of pics of a dull bit of Croatia.

15 minutes later and we’re back in Slovenia on the road to the border with Hungary which we cross ten minutes later.

Hungary, well it has a lot of forest and it maybe in Europe but it’s not very European however it does have tesco (if that is supposed to mean anything)

Our first port of call is the second largest thermal lake in the world at a small town called Heviz, the lake is 11 acres in total area and is fed by a hot spring 40m below ground that feeds 80 million litres of water every day into the lake, this is renewed every 48 hours or so, the surface temperature is between 35 and 22 degrees all year long.

Today it was 34 degrees and we had to have a dip, the water was a tad sulphurous, just enough just to be able to sense its presence, it was full of fat old people lolling in rubber rings or at least it was until we got in.

that's Jo there that is.
