Some nice weather at last

Following another night of gale force winds and even having to move the van to a more sheltered part of the car park at 1 am the day starts of drizzly but soon changes to blue skies and sunshine.

Continuing our drive round the ring of Kerry we are at last able to have some good views of the scenery we’re driving through.

We stop off for lunch at St Finans Bay where we have views across puffins island to the craggy Skellig Michael, Irelands version of St Michaels mount.

Driving further on we have some superb views of the countryside and coastline

before entering the Killarney national park

and a visit to torc waterfall

further on into the park we wildcamp for the night in time for sunset.
