Another day another country

Plan changes again, we arrive too late for the ferry to Pulau Labuan, the ferry company decided to re-schedule their departures without telling anybody so instead we get a speedboat launch type thing to Lawas which is still officially in Sarawak,

 Our first glimpse from the boat of the lush green jungle covered mountains of Sabah

a three and a half hour bus ride from Lawas with jungle scenery and bridges over numerous rivers

takes us to the capital of the Malaysian state of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu (known locally as KK) where we stop for the two nights, we get a great sunset down on the waterfront.

Off to Sepilok tomorrow to see if we can find some Orang utans.
