King of the swingers – our ginger cousins

No not the Celts these guys....





A superb day at Sepilok Orang-Utan rehabilitation centre where a small team of people take in orphaned Orang-utans and house and teach them how to adapt to the wild until they are ready to be released. We attended the two sessions per day that the public are allowed in and they certainly didn’t disappoint, in total we saw 6 out of the 10 they have on site,






















 including a mother with baby.




A pig tailed macaque paid a visit.




And some (blurred) pied hornbills watched it all happen from the trees above.

Next morning and we take an early transfer to the airport and a flight back to KK where we get some amazing views of below



and this one of Mt Kinabalu which is over 4000m high and on a clear day casts its shadow on the south china sea over 50km away.



before boarding another to KL where we overnight in one of those no frills "hotels".


Tomorrow we leave Malaysia and take a flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia.
