We settle down for a long day on an express coach to the northern border town of Miri. It’s an 8 hour journey with nothing but trees, but what trees they are, I read somewhere that untouched parts of Borneo’s jungle / rainforest (whatever the difference is) has over 200 different species of tree per acre. Here’s some pics of the trip.
A brief stop off after three hours in Bintulu, means we can say that we’ve Bin-tu-lu at Bintulu.
We pass colourful longhouses.
And the odd house in small forest / jungle clearings.
And stop off in some out of the way truck stops.
Eventually we arrive in Miri - a non descript slightly sleezy city, where we prepare for a trip to Gulung Mulu national Park.
