Change of plan #63

As we leave Singapore we notice going north into Malaysia isn't quite the slick operation at Immigration and customs as it is going the other way and we're very late for our next destination departing from JB airport we fly to Kuching the state capital of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. Our plan now is to head north through to Brunei and on to Sabah, though all good plans and all that,we'll see.

So here in Kuching and we've checked into the waterfront lodge which is filled with character.

a quick trip round town and this impressive structure is the national congress building

the waterfront is colourful

with sampans too-ing and fro-ing

and the city is surrounded by mountains.

not sure about the locals yet, we'll get back to you on that one.

We're off to Bako national park for a few days tomorrow to search for probostis , proboxtics, praboscas , big red nosed monkeys.
