After a grey drizzly start to the day and at last being able to see the Millau viaduct which is an amazing sight. We head south and drop down to a more sensible altitude and the sun makes a very welcome appearance with clear blue skies, it’s almost like being in a different country with vineyards and olive trees everywhere, autumn doesn’t seem to have arrived here yet as most of the trees still have green leaves and flowers are still blooming – all very pleasant, unlike some of the architecture in the towns of Agde and Sete which seem very dated and typical of run down tourist resorts built in the seventies. After spending two hours driving round in circles in Sete we finally manage to leave the town and we end up in a parking area on the beach just outside the Camargue town of Sts Marie de la mer.
will post photos later as it seems my internet connection has slowed down.
