Leaving Goonhilly we head off in search of Loe Bar which we know is near Porthlevan, driving down some narrow lanes we manage to get close and park up just after lunch in a car park of sorts.
As Jo is a bit weary I head off for a walk down to the beach
And then decide on a walk round Loe pool, which is the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall, it’s a relatively flat easy walk which takes a couple of hours and gives some good views.
Next day, back through Helston for about the third time and we head north passed Falmouth and use the King Harry ferry
and attempt to drive to Port Holland which is a place Jo had been on holiday as a child, we try numerous routes only to find the road narrows to a slither and a 1.5 ton weight limit, so we abandon it and park up near another beach where we get some visitors,
are we really in Cornwall ?
Next morning between showers I attempt Port Holland on foot along the coast path and come back with photographic evidence of the old chapel where Jo had stayed.
In the afternoon a short drive takes us to Mevagissey where we’re having a meal out.
Next morning we head to Bodmin moor and park for the night at crowdy resevoir at the foot of Rough Tor.
