It rises from sea level to 709m with one of the steepest cable car accents in the world at 42 degrees.
The views from the top are amazing,
at the top there is a suspension bridge walkway to another viewpoint.
We’re glad we bought tickets for the 1st class cabins as we didn’t reckon much on the 2nd class ones.
Next we drive round to check out the beaches of the island
and happen across a monitor lizard.
We thought this beach had a particularly special view
of the Lafarge cement factory.
We decide on a meal in a posh French restuarant on the beach, it was all going well until after ordering a bottle of Bordeaux Rose the waiter brought a bottle from Provence, when I told him that it wasn't what I had ordered, he exclaimed that it was the same wine with a different label, hmmm......
Off to Pulau Penang late tomorrow afternoon on the ferry.
