That’s the only way you can describe a vehicle that looks like a coach but filled with bunk beds, quite an experience and one I don’t want to repeat, it’s ok if you are a 3 foot 6 inch SE Asian but when you are 6 ft 4 it’s a nightmare.
The journey starts off for the first two hours travelling through built up areas where we never see any open countryside as has been the case since we entered Vietnam at Chau doc, eventually the conurbation ends and we find ourselves in lush green fields with plantations of rubber trees and rice paddies.
and then we near the coast at Mui Ne and the land takes on a sandy look
then, if you ever wondered where your dragon fruit came from, it’s here, miles and miles of the stuff.
Eventually, tired and contorted we end up in Nha Trang where we stay in the most excellent Hotel Suisse.
The next day after a good nights sleep we plan our next move up the coast and book rail tickets to Dalang for Friday 20th May.
We go for a wander down the beach
which is basically Vietnams Alton towers (we went purely for the cable car ride),and to see what they claim to be the 29th best beach in the world.
There is also an aquarium which has some interesting fish in it.
We finish off with sundowners overlooking the bay.
